I thought I would give you an update on what's going on behind the scenes at UTG. Keep in mind that the products are not yet in production, but will give you an idea of what's around the corner.
As for AEGs, they are working on their version of the AK Beta. This is the AK with the black furniture and the shortened frontend. It also looks like they will be releasing a new MP5A4 model with a flashlight foreend and a G3 SAS clone with a fullstock. There also appears to be a UTG AEP on the horizon as well - an electric USP model. We are looking forward to reviewing each of the new guns as they become available. On the springer side of things, it looks like UTG will release a spring version of both the AK47 and the AK Beta. And they will also be releasing an extended magazine for the UTG 870 shotguns.

Thanks for keeping us updated guys! This company is definitely one to watch. I hope they will sell the lighted foregrip separate so people can put it on previous versions of the UTG mp5.
Sweet! The 870 mags should be good. The 20 rounds is really not enough. The problem is, you can't store them while fighting, the rounds just fall out. Taping them together really works, and it looks like an M16 mag but the new mags will definately be a must buy for any UTG shotgun owner!
Sorry for posting twice, but AA if you dont get some more Armalite M15 A4 Rifles in, i am going to buy somewhere else, so please respond and tell me whats going on cause i really want to buy from you guys.

Pooldiver what do you mean the rounds fall out of your 870 mags? There must be something you can repair with your mags or something because they shouldn't have that problem.
When i put them in my vest or gas mask bag, the rounds fall out. I dont know why but they do. I just put some tap over the lip and take it off before i put it in the gun. I also mentioned earlier about the M16 style of taping them together.
I just got two more and they do the same thing. i dont think anything is wrong with my .2 inertia bbs. It isnt really that bad.
Hmm. If the flashlight foregrip can be gotten as a separate piece I wouldn't mind sticking it in the UTG MP5 I already have... Or I could just John Woo it with a pair of 'em I guess. :D
Bigger shotgun mags could be fun too. I haven't gotten a chance to use mine in a game yet to see if the existing ones are too limiting... Not that I don't have spares anyway, but...
That's pretty weird, I've never had that problem myself.
AA any news on the BE side of things. I'm hoping their next gun will be a G36 version due to the closeness and build of the XM8.
Any eta on the AEP? Probably my most awaited UTG gun.

What battery should i get with the CA M15 A4 Rifle?
My MP5 got the Nicad battery (8.4) and i dont know if you can get an advanced battery with the Armalite. Thanks

AA, please, just a rough estimate, when will the VSR parts be back in. the ones that are out of stock are the ones my friend needs.
pool heres some advice- if it has a full stock then it will fit a large battery, it it has a collapsable stock you must use a mini or custom abttery. you have to be mroe specific in ur description all the CA M16/M4 series are called M15A4. i think ur talkin about the M16 one with the full stock and long foregrip/barrel. that will take a 9.6v large battery out of the box. u could put an 8.4 in it but the ROF will be slower.

I meant out of the ones AA has left. There is not much of a selection. i understand the idea of LARGE battery, but i didn't know if a Marui LARGE battery would still fit, since the others are sold out. Still thanks for the info.
I had a CAM15A4 and it fit a "nunchuck" style 9.6 in the foregrip just fine. The larger battery made it cycle a bit faster but I can't recall any power increase. My M15 tended to shoot a little to the left, even after several cleanings and breaking in but otherwise was a damn fine weapon.
You can squeeze the 8.4v 3300mah large battery into the M15A4 fullstocks. It's a tight fit, but it will go in. Otherwise, you can try one of the new 8.4v 1200mah large batteries from UTG.
The VSR-10 upgrade parts are still on backorder. We have no ETA from the manufacturer on those, sorry!
dude its nto a marui battery. in fact a CA full stock can actually hold a larger battery. so u can fit a 9.6 in it caise it has 8 cells instead of 7.

the wiring on the motor came loose but it was an easy fix just pulled the cover off and put it back on
the fake slid release rattles a crap load
PROS -
ROF is great with a 9.6(shoots faster than my friends star saw)
strong gears, havent had a problem with the gears
i have picked up a real M16 many times and it feels the same as the real steel one
solid gun, you could be running and fall and the gun would be fine
very very accurate
over all this is a must have gun for all crazed M16 fans like myself, i have a TM a2 and the difference is insane like night and day. at the last game i was hitting people at probably 50 feet NO JOKE. but like i said this is simply a must have

I would just save another $50 and get an ICS MP5. They have proved reliable with my friends and they really like them. I have never used the SR-4 and i wouldn't trust it. It looks to be a cheaply made gun with just bear metal parts. Or so i have read. Like i said save another $50 for a great gun, you will definatly be happy with the ICS brand.
pool im suprised. ive heard nothign but bad thigns about ICS brand. one of my friends had an ICS MP5 and it basically tore itself apart and the cheap metal body cracked. u wanna talk a cheaply made gun it was a piece of shit. yes would be much better off getting a TM for a first gun. there guns just dont break (if you dont do anyhtign to the internals cause that throws off the equilibrium)just cause its metal doesnt meen its better than plastic. i have not heard or read anyhting on the sr4 so i cant give an opinion on that gun.
im still not not sure, my friends ICS C-15 had some problems with the internal stuff a few days after he got it. and the SR4 can take the same marui parts/upgrades. and it also has a 30 warranty for internal issues. ill just decide when i actually have the money:)
I own the newer SRC M16 gun (not the M4 version atlanta has). It is about average quality for an AEG. Nothing special about, and nothing horrible about it. It only has a standard plastic body, but SRC has come out with metal bodies. My e-mail is rane_of_fire@hotmail.com if you want more info.
AA I just wanted to know if you are going to get the SRC metal bushings in stock again. I used about three sets of them, I want to buy more if you are going to get them in again.
I am holding off on another spending spree untill I know one way or the other.
Hey AA, when do you think you guys will get the M4 mag pouch holders back in? Ill probably get one with the SR4 cause it comes with 2 mags.

Maybe it has to do with the quality of the gun. AA is usually fair and wouldn't sell anything $200 above normal.
About the M16 UTG guns,
I was wondering the same thing. It would be interesting to see how cheap they could make it.
AA when do you think you are getting the extended mags in February? March? And as you can tell we are wondering how many rounds it holds.

My friends use them a lot and have never had any problems other than rattling parts(nothing the tighting of a screw cant fix) or maybe they got a well made gun. I know what your saying about the crappy ICS guns but theirs seem to be fine. Yes just get whatever you think is cool, SR4 looks like a good gun plus upgrades always are nice

mcde: the thompson and m14 are to much because they have completely metal bodies (except for the composite wood and/or od grips and stock). this is different to all other TM guns. I dont know what dealer your talking about that is sellign these guns so cheap but i have always seen the TM thompson and m14 a this price on alot of websites. maybe you should question the other dealer about it cause it is not AA that is out of the norm.
ohh and pool i dont know how you friends got good guns maybe they were lucky, or maybe every ICS story i have seen, heard about, or read was just the result of a bad gun.

mcde: i think you might be seeing these deals from overseas retailers. lets just say that things are way cheaper on thoee sites due to the insane shipping costs and the fact that customs can just confiscate (dont know how to sepll it) your gun and u get no refund. The thompson and m14 cost so mhuch less beacuse they weigh alot and u ahve to fork over alot of cash to ship it, or at least thats my guess.

Are you gonna get UTG mags for their aegs?
I've always disliked UTG, the second they released the UTG5, I knew this would be the end of airsoft, soon, theyll have FAMASes and all the other beloved guns... UTG is just making this sport noob freindly, I cant stand going to a house full of UTG devotees with my TM FAMAS then getting asked "whats a hop-off?" UTG shouldve stuck to making cheap slings and holsters, and I betcha fifty cents that in a year, airsoftatlanta's site will have a whole section of UTG only guns, Whats this world coming too? now I get shot at by a baby with a UTG5, who I had already hit, I remember the days when this sport was run by honest players, not paintballers...
I agree... as a sniper I know when someone is hit, but being bolt action its not always convinient to shoot off another round when someone doesnt wanna call their hit. and dont say i didnt hit you becuase my 4x sighted scope just showed you wrong.. I whink it might have to come back to the stage where I had a camera mount on my gun, but instead of getting action footage, I will be getting footage of cheaters. I dont care what gun you have, if you dont call your hit, your ruining the sport.
I completely agree, it's really irritating, except in my case, it's the other way around, they sit there and say they hit me with a 410fps rifle while I have not one welt (with a damn T shirt, by the way), and then when I hit them several times from extremely close range, they sit there and say that since I didn't get out when I got "hit", he doesn't have to call a hit either, frickin' morons!
Oh, by the way, I forgot to mention that I've started just useing guns that shoot 350fps and up, so pretty much no matter what you're wearing it welts, so if you know you hit them you just make them check for welts, and then if they have gotten hit everyone knows that they're a cheater.

yah i dont have a big problem with cheaters where i play, of course there are a few excpetions. Ususally its the few amount of lil kids that come and play, but when they dont call there hits i juts get up closer and shoot 50 rounds into there chest hehe.
the real problem is that the lil kids dont know the rules. my friend went to play christmas weekend and all the lil kids had there new presents. well he snuck around to the enemy spawn and hid in this barn. all these kids came and respawned so he poped put and shot them all. one kid with his new sniper shooting 550fps said he was cheating and pointed the gun at my friend and shot him 5 feet away with it. lol he had to dig the bb out of his hand. well the kid pretty much got his ass kicked and was banned for life. at least at my field we have good rules to quickly get rid of cheaters.

Oh god, are they getting rid of it!?! Where I play, people always call their hits, course I play with just my friends and like 4 or 5 people total usually. But like what you guys do. When I have my AEG, I fire like a 3-8 round burst at em. I only fire a single shot at nobody, except myself once when I was extremlly bored in the summer before I got Xbox Live, and lets just say I'm never gonna do it again.
Sorry for the Double post but, why do the new spare XM8 mags hold only 28 rounds?
In 2002, i found the "hardballer II" shotgun at a sporting goods store and, since my mom was an anti-gun FREAK i spent 2 months gathering research on the dangers of airsoft. when she finally got it i had to find someone to play with so i got one of my friends into it and we played for hours on end in his front yard. my mom said we werent allowed to play at my house because she didnt want to be held responsible for anyone getting hurt.
now in 2006, my nonofficial "league" has about 20 people in it, and we are just getting into AEGs. my friend who I originally played with(mj has a Marui P90 aeg and i own the UTG Mp5. one of my other friends has the super 9 2.0 with the sniper kit and loves it. th mp5 is over all pretty good gun. it s performance and range is exceptional, almost as good as the p90. the only problems are that it is very loud and the full auto sounds like it might break. also, the mags it comes with are terrible. buy a 200 or 100 round mag with it. it works flawlessly with these mags. it is a lot of fun and worth the price. the p90 is the same performance wise but the quality is better. plus it just looks cool.
the other playersin or "clan" are either restricted on buying airsoft guns or own mini electrics or spring guns. every once in a while we like to get back to basics. mj's mom made a good point that you can never determine who the best players are unless you all have the same gun.
So i would advise everyone to buy a spring gun that goes about 300 fps as their first or at least to learn the basics (i.e. DON'T CHASE THE GUY WITH A FULL AUTO)In the way of springers i currently own an m4, an h&k ump(socom pistol), the 4inch revolver sold on AA, the shotgun, a smith and wesson and a colt .45 auto.

whats the big deal about shooting someone mor than once to get them out? and how do paintballers affect the sport? me and my friends play till we get tired or till the first blood. I think a one shot out is a pretty dumb rule considering how many people have AEGs.

AA.....please answer if you can. I want to order the New UHC Tac-9 and the UTG AK, but have noticed the Tac 9 is already out of stock. I would like to order both art same time to save on shipping, and am just wondering when you expect to have the Tac 9s back in stock?
Another thing that UTG introdcing AEG's did to the airsoft world was offset the balance of skill that was usualy normal for each level, youre supposed to start out with poor poor guns, learn them, make mistakes, then step up, Now, people buy the UTG "AEG's" as their first gun, and do all sorts of stupid things, the kid who lives two doors down from me, is a UTG devotee, he wanted to sell his gun to me so I took it in for the night to look at it.
This gun was in unbeleivable condition, He had fired mainly .12 and BB's with seams, so the hopup was most likely shot for good, he left the battery charging for a weekend, which cause the battery to BURN stright through the plastic, it was missing so many parts I couldnt beleive it.
So, I guess you ex-CYMA advocates got what you wanted, Airsoft is mainstream, and its been handed over to the noobs of the world, now all the wiltans can rejoice.
Soon maruis will be looked for like antiques, and plastic gearboxes will be standard.
hey great work aa thanks a bunch but i'd really like to see m90/1 joule springs becouse alot of my freinds want to upgrade stock guns like utgs and stuff but dont want to go up to much fps.
AA, I agree with jc43089, m90 spings would be good for people who want to upgrade their guns but not make them too powerful.
the problem isnt that utg is making guns that are cheap and good the problem is people are cheating and apparently you aren't secur with the gun you bought that cost twice as much. To upgrade the utg mp5 it costs the same as the marui since you need to replace more parts so if you just upgrade you'll be at an advantage, If you don't like the people who happen to use utgs then dont play with them.
And why the hell do you care if people buy the utg and fuck thembreak them?

.50 you are so wrong. a marui is soo much better quality than a UTG. you have to upgrade a UTG cause it will break itself cause its built like shit. a marui ill go forever without breaking if you leave it stock and even if you just put a new spring in it it will last a long time. you have to pour more money into a UTG gun to get it up to par. you betetr off just buying a stock marui.
yes: where i play there are like 40 ppl every game and when u get shot u respawn or you get healed by a medic or u go out if its single elmination. soo it is a big deal if ppl dont call there hits and cheat. i shouldnt have to shoot someone 5 times when they should ahve went out the first time.

ok, i have the utg mp5 and was wondering what types of scopes (like to ones for sniper rifles) would fit on it. i only use semi auto and usually my targets are about 50 yards away at most. this gun is much more accurate than any of my friends guns so im ussualy in the support role. i know like, nothing about rails (except they let you put stuff on the gun) so any help would be appreciated.

shotgun d: Basically any scope will do. As long as it says it'll fit a weaver rail/20mm rail/picatinny(sp?) rail you should be fine. for a UTG MP5 I'd recommend a red dote scope like the NcStar 30mm red dot. Using a powered scope on anything other than a sniper rifle is generally pointless.
For everyone who's saying UTG = cheating, I don't think so. UTG definately will bring more noobs, but noobs don't mean cheaters. I know a lot of beginners who are very honest people. It has to do with your personality. I'm sure there are experienced people out there who are just as annoying as some noobs. And what if there wasn't UTG and a rich kid got a TM and was really obnoxious, would you blame it on TM? No.
UTG may bring about a little more cheating, but not a significant amount. You UTG haters are jealous because now beginners don't have to go through the long road to get good guns and be able to compete. TMs are definately a lot better than UTG, but this does not make UTG a bad gun. UTG will just allow people who were restricted by money (I know there are a lot), to be able to get guns previously unavailable to them. UTG is an important company for the future of airsoft, conservatives will not like it, but in order for airsoft to make progress and have a strong future, companies like this are necessary.

Heres the point: NOONE WANTED AIRSOFT TO BECOME MAINSTREAM.
Now that airsoft is maintstream and is dominated by noobs, airsoft is going to fall, because before, when you get a crappy gun, youre supposed to feel uncontent with it and 1; Leave or 2; GET A BETTER GUN.
Now that noobs can feel content with their guns, noobs are taking over, UTG shouldve never released the UTG5, the UTG5 was the beggining of the end of airsoft. Airsoft was a small sport, with a lot of honest users, now, all the paintballers are buying UTG5's, lazertaggers too, I am not jealous of them and I am not insecure about my marui, I happen to love my marui. But its just out of control.... I even think tha UTG could be the reason airsoft is banned because now with UTG, more people are gettin airsoft guns, so with more people comes more idiots, and with more idiots comes more kids shooting up the neighboorhood.

I understand and respect your points, I was just trying to give an alternate view in support of UTG. But Lupin, you really couldn't believe that airsoft would stay a "small port" for long. Yes it would be better this way, but it is naive to think something as fun and unique as airsoft would never go mainstream. It was bound to go mainstream sooner or later.

The XM8 mags only come with 28 shots because companies like star are trying to make airsoft more realistic. A real gun doesn't hold 400 rounds. It holds around 30. If you want to play more realistic than i would defenitely recommend the 28 rounds. It makes you think about your ammo and it lets you compete with springers on a reasonably "fare" level.

Granted, that quote is about media/film violence and it's effect on children, but the principle holds here as well...
UTG is a business- the goal of any business is to make money- that's what the capitalist system and our nation are built on- making money. UTG has succeeded in just that- they have an audience (people who want a competative/semi competative AEG, but don't have much money), and a product...Yes, UTG has made airsoft come much more mainstream, but it's nothing compared to what Crossman and Cybergun have done, selling their products at WALMART, which i think we can all agree will be the downfall of human civilization. Some of my friends use UTG MP5's, 870 shotguns, and one has an AK on order...and we are all ecstatic about it- because now they can actually play serisouly with us, because they have decent, automatic guns...a considerable step up from springer MP5's or p.o.s. CYMA's (i.e. the SWAT shotgun that AA is now currently OOS on and will remain that way, hopefully). All i'm saying is that UTG made an affordable, available product that can stand up to light-med skirmishing. For those of you ICS, CA, or TM fans out there, it's also agreed that your guns do have much better quality and reliability, and i think it can be assumed by anyone with a UTG who is serious about playing that they will eventually want a better gun...hell- i use an LPEG AK- the CSI model that AA is OOS on also right now, and i love it- it doens't compare to my friend's ICS MP5SD6, but it still holds up in a fight, and as soon as i can save up for an AK beta i'll order it fomr AA...
If you want to hate UTG, go ahead, but hate them for making guns that aren't the quality of TM's, etc. Don't hate them because they have brought more people into our sport...If anything, it will just sectionalize- those who have high grade guns will still play together, and those who only have the money for springers/mini's will still play together, and those with UTG's will fit somewhere in the middle...those of you isolationists who didn't want airsoft to go mainstream need to get a reality check- anyting good eventually comes to the public's eye...you should be happy that airsoft is popular enough for people of all incomes and backgrounds to want to play...
Regardless of all the ranting and raving, UTG will continue to make products for public use, and the more they do, the better they'll get at it- hell- how do you think TM started out? Ya, the FAMAS is badd ass, but still, it had to be worked on for a while. i bet the first AEG's weren't on the level they are now...So cut UTG a break and le them do their job. Release your insecurities and welcome in a new era of Airsoft, because whether you like it or not, it's coming...
ok, im definitly not a noob and i own a UTG. i've beaten(proper grammer?) my friend in a one hit kill match were he had his marui p-90 and i had a springer i got for $20.
i bought the UTG because i needed an AEG that was inexpensive but of average quality.
it is true that all these cheap guns will bring in more newbies, but thats more cocky, arrogent, pricks to welt-up. noob's can be fun to play with, even if they cheat. when my friends cheat, i cheat right back. if we're playing a springer battle in my backyard and no one will die, i'll go get my mp5 and cut them down to size.
the key to deeling with noob's is understanding there mentality. they want to play "Halo" on the battlefield, act like there invincible. ask them how invincible they feel when they get hit at 300 fps with a .20 on bare skin. Also, try to play with honest people. dont allow known cheaters to play.
Me and my friends usually play games were a shot in the head or goo-goo is an auto kill, a torso hit is worth 2 "damage" and a limb hit is worth 1 "damage." you can only recieve 3 damage before your out.

I am actually a very intelligent, well-balanced person, but airsoft is something that I feel strongly about, and if possible I would like to prevent its demise.
So you guys can get what you want, airsoft is mainstream, but it wont be airsoft anymore, we might aswell start calling it airlazersplatball. Because thats how its going to be played, bringing paintballers in, theyll wanna play it like paintball, bringing lazertaggers in, theyll wanna play like lazertag.

airsoft was better as an "underground" activity, and i kinda liked it when i was the only one at my school who had any idea what it was. but as long as us vets keep playing the way we like, maybe all these paintballers and laser taggers can bring something useful to the game.
i went laser tagging for my first time like a year ago and have been playing airsoft for 4-5 years now. laser tag can help with your awareness and ability to find cover when there is none. but i kind of agree with you, lupin.

Yay Steelers are going to the Super Bowl!!!! RoxorZ!!!!!!!! Ok, now my friends and I are extremlly low budget. I try to get em into airsoft, but even a 200 dollar price tag was way too much for an AEG. So, now that UTG has stepped in making 100-140 AEGs, that can accually stand their ground against a Tokyo Marui in battle is great for us. Some of the people I play with HAD a UTG, liked it so much he went out and bought (or is going to, I dont know if he has the money yet) a classic Army M15A4 M16. Sure we're a little outmatched but hey, once those things start flyin around its good fun.
If UTG ever comes out with the Alminite Series (m-4, m-16 ect.) then I'm gonna buy an M-4, sounds like they wont but I hope they do. My MP5 is getting old against the UTG AK47.
I play like you Shotgun (I think thats your name) 3 HP, headshot= 3 damage, torso shot=2 damage, limb shot= 1 damage. Medic can heal you 1 damage every 3 seconds he is touching you, 10 seconds to revive you. The only thing I dont like about that is now I keep on getting hit in the head by my friend Jo with his Tac 9! All in good fun. Oh yea and that fanboy that said TM was so good, just so you know the AUG, that front grip, it breaks after a few games. Just throwing that out there. I hate fanboys.
My apologies to lupin but it pisses me off when people badmouth noobs. We were all noobs at one point werent we?
And I like playing w/ spring guns and I think Utg is doing a great thing by making half decent airsoft guns available to the people who do not have the money to buy a mauri.

I am not a "fanboy" I am just like the other 1000's of airsofters who realize that tokyo marui is essentially the best AEG manufacturer around, and I have never used the AUG, I'm a FAMAS user.

HA HA HA... Yeah well there was this airsoft compainy that made these crappy minis, they also made some ok spring guns. Well one day they came out with these crappy AEGs that shot 50-70 feet. Well all the newbies went nuts over them and soon everyone had these stupid sewing machine sounding airsoft guns. Well the well known airsoft companys started to have trouble selling their expencive all metal guns and they went under.
So thats why we only have AEGS. JAC asahi and many others went under because of these cheap AEGS coming out. Tokyo Marui killed Gas powered Airsoft guns in 91' and in 05' UTG started to kill them, in the same way.
that's ridiculous, utg is a great thing for airsoft and i don't see how it can even be considered any competition at all to tokyo marui. the quality and price of the products each company makes basically puts them in completely different categories.
if utg isnt as good as tm and has 5 guns max then they arent gonna kill them. Even if they made the same amount of guns that were the same quality as tm but cheaper then Tokyo marui would just make their guns better or cut the prices. Competition is good for any industry. And if it isnt as good then quit bitching about "noobs" since you have a better gun and better skills (hopefully) then you should kick their asses and if there are so many airsofters where you are that you dont desperately need more people to play then you can kick them out of your games if they cheat
I got a utg so i could play till until i can afford a marui, their qaulity is incomparable. utg makes useable guns that are for more like casual players. they could hold their ground against marui, but marui's are much better quality.
guys TAC gas rifles are far better guns that AEGS. by comparison AEGS are very tempromental and delicate compared to gas rifles. and guess what gas rifle companies still tanked. the main point is the price not quality. the only good thign is that UTG guns are onyl about $150 less than TM,CA,ICS,G&G guns. so i dotn think it will kill these companies.
charlie we were all noobs at one point but once you get past it you make fun of them. its liek being a freshman in highschool. yo get made fun of and picked ona ll eyar, but next year when ur a sophmore you hate freshman. its the way of society accept it. we all had to go through it you must too.
i agree with lupin, paintballers dont know how to playa irsoft but where i am they learn out the hard way by either getting supended or banend for cheating, or if they just act liek idiots they get shot up so i dont think they will ruin airsoft. they just make it irritating sometime.
Paintball and airsoft are totally different things, if people want to play paintball let them, but I've played with several paintballers, and not only did they suck, but they constantly end up breaking rules or screwing up. My opinion is they can play all they want, but they should actually know how to play.

lol gas rifles went down because of cost and in some of them, the stupidity of carrying a gas rig around. UTG as of now is in a completely different league than TM... people buy it because of cost, but it is no more efficient/better quality/more upgradable or anything than a TM. It's actually a lot weaker and prone to breaking... so I really don't think we have anything to worry about unless UTG makes marui-quality for low prices.
OK AA, just some quick questions.
Have you guys gotten any info on the new UTG Warhawk Sniper (UTG Drogonov, sneek peek was just released recently). Scope on the pic looked like garabage, but it looks good otherwise? Also why did you get rid of the UHC USP NBB gas pistols? And when are you going to get some Tokyo Marui mp5 selector switches back in stock?
For the history of airsoft go to airsplat.com, they're not as good of a sight as AA, but they do have the history of it, but it is pretty that it was developed in Japan and that area in the 80s, the fascination with guns put the people between a rock and a hard place, because guns were illegal. So someone invented airsoft because of the realisticness of the guns and the people's fascinations with them. They slowly migrated outward and into Europe and then into America.
ok i own a few UTG guns, cause im pretty ,uch the ring leader of my team of junior high kids, and i had to upgrade first, to let everyone else know its ok. now the mp5 that i got 3 months ago is broken after having to re-solder a wire in the gearbox./ it worked fine for w while after that then it broke. now im saving up for an armalite m15a4 tactical carbine with the full stock. all my other friends also got the utg mp5 electric or spring, but now they want to upgrade. again. so we pretty much all play fairly except for one guy who im thinking of kicking off the team, and we just needed UTG as a half-step towards full AEGs i dont consider and UTG electric an aeg.

I bought into the UTG-AK hype based on the performance of my two UTG MP-5's. I've never chrono'd either of the MP-5's and based the decision to buy the AK on having had no problems with either of the MP's. I attended a WWII themed event this past weekend in Athens GA and to my surprise the AK was barely shooting 180 fps. Now that's a far cry from the advertised 280! Especially when the MP's were both shooting reliably between 240 - 245. $140 is pretty cheap for an AEG any way you look at it, but whats up with being 100 fps off? I thought you guys crono'd all of these before posting their fps on the web site?
